I am the Assistant Unit Leader of the USGS Hawai‘i Cooperative Fishery Research Unit at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo where I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Marine Science. As such, I study how living things behave and interact:
How will species respond to local and global stressors?
How do networks of species differ in healthy vs. disturbed environments?
I'm "fishing" for the answers to these questions, and others, as a scientist who works in service of coastal ecosystems, fisheries, and the people who depend on them.
